You look up in the sky and think that you're seeing things for a moment. But you're not. There are two moons above you.
“Sarah, you have to come and see this.” Willow, My little sister, yells from the front door. “Mommy’s hurt.” I jump off my bed and run towards them. Mom was indeed laying on the ground with blood on her. I grab the house phone from beside the door and call nine one one. After talking to them they took our mom to the hospital. They couldn’t find any marks that could have cause the blood but with her being knocked out they took her just to be sure. “Will mommy be okay?” She asks watching them leave.
“I don’t know. What happened before mommy passed out?” I coo.
“She was looking up at the red sky.” Danny, my little brother, say walking into the living room.
“But the sky isn’t red.” I say.
“It was before she passed out. When she hit the ground blood showed up on her body.” He says. “Just like grandpa told us, it would. The red sky is here.” he walks back to his room.
“Can I sleep with you tonight?” I nod my head and carry her to my room. Grandpa used to tell us of days when the sky was red and there was two moons, but, he said that it was a long time ago, before the vampires showed up. Willow didn’t get to know grandpa, because he passed before she was born. I sigh as she starts snoring. I grab my cellphone and call Xavier, our older brother.
“X, mom’s in the hospital” I say as he picks up the phone.
“Sarah, what happened? Do I need to come home?” he rushes out. I take a deep breathe. “Sarah, tell me what the hell is going on.” he snaps.
“Danny, said she was talking about the red sky. Could what he said be true?” I ask.
“Shit, I shouldn’t have left you with them.” he says. “I will be there in a hour. Don’t go outside and whatever you do don’t look at the sky.” He hangs up. Tho, Danny and Willow share the same dad, me and Xavier share the same dad, but we all share the same mom. Me and Xavier are have vampire because of our dad. Mom had some vampire blood in her because our dad comes around every once and a while to help her stay healthy. I think they have some type of deal. When we were younger we had to live with our dad because of the blood lust. Xavier stayed there with our dad and I moved in
