Day 21 of 30 Days of Writing Prompts

As I was writing this I kept losing my train of thought. I also don't normally write stories about superhero's and or people working on tech things. So, sadly this one isn't going be as good as I would like. It was written in 30 minutes just like all the others.

Writing Prompt #1,262

You have idolized superheroes your entire life and want nothing more in this world than to be one. When you move out of your parents' house, you decide to make your dream come true. You attempt everything: exposing yourself to radiation, getting hit by lightning, allowing every strange-looking spider you come across to bite you… but nothing seems to work. After several failed attempts and a few trips to the hospital, you are almost ready to throw in the towel. However, no matter how hard you try, you can't shake the feeling that you were meant for greatness. Then one day it dawns on you: You don't really need superpowers to protect the innocent from the forces of evil — you can be one of those superheroes who uses gadgets! You quickly download the best CAD software you can find, watch a few YouTube tutorials, and get to work.

‟Fucking hell, how do they do this?” I say while laying down on the ground. I just fell to the ground. ‟I followed the tutorials to a T. What went wrong?” I say trying to get up, but my body is in a lot of pain. I look up to the sky and sighed. ‟I know that this is something that I can I do! I believe I can do this.” I say to the sky. I force my body to roll over to my left side. I slowly push myself up. I need to do this.

‟Did you ever think that maybe your superpower is healing?” Someone says from behind me, making me squeal.

‟What do you mean?” I ask I slowly turn around.
